1. General overview
The Audit Analytics Europe auditor engagements dataset identifies current auditor(s) for public companies listed on regulated EEA and Swiss exchanges as well as the LSE AIM. EU regulations require public interest entities (which includes listed entities) to rotate their auditors at least every ten years, unless member state‑adopted extensions apply.
This database does not have a data entry process; instead, logic is used to determine the current auditor for each company.

3. Collection methodology
The logic is based on a proprietary algorithm according to the most recent “engaged auditor date” from Europe auditor changes, “signature date” from Europe audit opinions, and “year ended” from Europe audit fees.
